The agreement between you and sven: what credit is, when compute starts, and how cancellation and refunds work.
Version 2026-11-01
sven is operated by Swedish Embedded AB, a company registered in Sweden. Our company details -- registration number, VAT number and email -- are on the company details page and form part of these terms.
These terms apply to everyone who uses sven. Where a section applies only to consumers, or only to businesses, it says so.
sven is an AI workspace. You give it tasks in your account: it answers with AI models, reads web pages and searches the web while it works, and on a computer you connect it reads and edits files and runs commands in the folder you choose. The same chat, embedding and image models are available to your own software through an API. The models run on computers we operate or contract for, or at the model provider we contract with; we measure what each request uses and charge it to your account's credit.
Everything sven writes or makes is generated by AI models. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, so check it before you rely on it.
You are buying the use of sven and of those models. We do not sell you the computers they run on, and we do not sell you the models themselves.
Each request goes to a computer that runs the model you named and has room for it. Which one serves a request never changes what it costs you, and if one is unreachable or full before your request has produced anything, we send it to another.
You pay for compute with credit you buy in advance. Credit is a prepaid balance you spend with sven and nowhere else.
Credit is not money and we do not hold it for you as money. It cannot be exchanged for cash, it cannot be transferred to another account or to anybody outside sven, and it has no value outside the service. If you want money back for credit you have not used, that is a refund under section 7.
Use is metered: what a request costs depends on what it used -- the text it read and wrote, measured in tokens, or the images it produced -- at the prices on the pricing page when the request starts, so a fixed total cannot be stated before you send it. Before a request runs, the most it could cost is set aside from your credit, and you are never charged more than that amount.
Prices for credit are shown excluding VAT, and VAT is added on top at checkout at the rate that applies to you. If you supply a valid VAT number for another EU country, the reverse charge is applied instead. You receive an invoice for every purchase.
You are never charged for anything you did not ask for, and we never add a charge on top of a purchase without telling you what it is at the moment you buy.
If you are a consumer, you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase and get your money back. Compute is supplied continuously and on demand, so it starts being available to you the moment your purchase completes -- which is before those 14 days are up.
That is why every top-up tells you, next to the amount and before you pay, that credit is available immediately, that the part you have spent by the time you cancel is not refunded, and that everything you have not spent is. Checking out is your request for supply to start straight away.
Balance you have not used stays refundable. If you are a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of your purchase and we refund the part of the balance you have not used, in full, to the payment method you paid with. There is no administrative deduction.
Balance you have already used is not refunded. That is the direct consequence of what section 6 describes: at checkout you asked us to start supplying compute straight away, knowing that the cancellation right does not reach the part actually supplied. This applies only to the part that was used. We do not forfeit unused balance for any reason -- not on account closure, not for inactivity, and not as a penalty.
If a request fails through our fault, you are not charged for it, whether or not you are within any cancellation period.
To cancel or ask for a refund, use the withdrawal page. It works whether or not you are signed in -- you may also simply write to us in any clear terms -- and we answer it by hand. If you are signed in as an administrator of your account, your billing page gives your unused credit back to your card at once instead, together with the tax you paid on it.
We are responsible for supplying the service as described, and for supporting it. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights Swedish consumer law gives you, and nothing here excludes our liability for death, personal injury, intent or gross negligence -- for any customer, consumer or business.
We are not responsible for what you send to the models, the answers they produce, or your own use of them. AI models can be wrong; check an answer before you rely on it. For business customers, our liability for any other loss is limited to what you paid us for the affected requests.
You are responsible for what is done with your account and your API keys. You may not:
If you break section 9, or the law requires it, we may suspend the part of the service concerned -- an API key, a connected computer, or your account -- for as long as the reason lasts. We tell you what we suspended and why, unless the law forbids us to, and you can object by writing to us; a person looks at every objection.
A suspension never forfeits credit: the balance you have not used stays refundable under section 7.
What you send to sven and what it makes for you are yours: we claim no rights in them. We use them only to provide the service to you, as the privacy policy describes.
On a computer you connect, sven works with the permissions you give it: in the folder you choose, with the tools you allow, and under the approval setting you pick. What it does within those permissions it does on your instruction, so choose them with care and keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. We are responsible for sven keeping to the limits you set.
Our single point of contact, for the people who use sven and for authorities, is info@swedishembedded.com. Write to us in English or Swedish.
If you come across illegal content in sven, tell us there: where it is and why you believe it is illegal. We look at every report and tell you what we decided.
We may change these terms -- for example when the law changes, or when the service does. We will publish the new version with a new version date and, for changes that affect you materially, tell you at least 15 days in advance.
A change never applies retroactively to a purchase you already made: a purchase is governed by the version that was published when you made it, and we keep every published version so that can be checked. If you do not accept a change you may stop using sven and ask for a refund of the balance you have not used, under section 7.
Write to info@swedishembedded.com. It is a real, monitored mailbox and we answer it.
We answer complaints within 14 days. If you are a consumer in Sweden and we cannot agree, you can take the matter to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), whose decisions we follow. Nothing here stops you going to an ordinary court.
Swedish law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.
